Installation Electrician\n \n Location: Midlands Based (Site-Based, UK Travel Required)\n Salary: £39,000 – £45,000 DOE\n Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (Regular Working Away)\n\nMotionTech is hiring an Installation Electrician to strengthen our growing internal installation team. We design, install and deliver robust control and automation solutions across manufacturing, intralogistics, food & beverage and automotive sectors throughout the UK.\n\nAs part of our continued growth, we are building our own strong internal installation capability creating long-term opportunities for skilled electricians who want to develop within a forward-thinking automation business.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInstall cable containment systems including tray, trunking and conduit\n\nInstall and terminate SY, CY, YY and similar industrial cabling\n\nConnect 400V motors, 24V DC motors, sensors and safety devices\n\nTerminate and connect control panels\n\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, cable schedules and layout drawings\n\nAssist with dead testing and functional testing on site\n\nThis is a hands-on, site-based installation role working within structured project teams across the UK.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n We are seeking a proactive, team-focused Installation Electrician with strong industrial experience and a high standard of workmanship.\n\nEssential Skills & Experience:\n\nLevel 3 City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)\n\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n\nProven industrial installation experience\n\nAbility and willingness to work away from home Monday–Friday\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nDesirable\n\n2391 Inspection & Testing\n\nNVQ Level 3 / Completed Apprenticeship\n\nAM2\n\nECS Card, IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS or First Aid\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n£39,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE\n\nTravel time paid at full hourly rate\n\n£35 overnight allowance when working away\n\nHotels arranged and paid for\n\nCompany vehicle provided to established staff\n\n40p per mile if using own vehicle\n\nOvertime available (1.5x weekends)\n\nOngoing training and career progression\n\nThis role is ideal for an Installation Electrician seeking stable, long-term work within a growing industrial automation business that values quality, teamwork and professional standards.\n\nClick to Apply
