The below job description will outline this position of: Installation & Commissioning Engineer

Typically, this person will be responsible for the installation, configuration and commissioning of security systems including CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems across a range of commercial, local authority and domestic sites. The role will involve ensuring all systems are installed to a high standard, fully operational and handed over to the client with full functionality and understanding.

Duties and responsibilities of the Installation & Commissioning Engineer:

Installation of CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems across various sites
Commissioning and testing of systems to ensure full functionality and compliance
Fault finding during installation and commissioning phases
Completion of electronic job sheets and accurate reporting of work carried out
Liaising with customers on-site to ensure a professional handover and client satisfaction
Identifying opportunities for system upgrades or additional works and feeding back to management

Qualifications and requirements for the Installation & Commissioning Engineer:

Minimum of 5 years experience within the fire and security industry
Proven experience installing and commissioning CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, can-do attitude
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to undergo BS7858 security screening including enhanced DBS and police check
