About the Role

MPJ Recruitment are supporting a respected and expanding commercial insurance brokerage in their search for an experienced Commercial Account Handler. This role is ideal for someone who is Acturis trained and confident managing a varied commercial portfolio while delivering exceptional client service.

You'll work closely with Account Executives/Directors, handling new business, renewals and mid‑term adjustments, while ensuring clients receive a smooth, professional and proactive service.

Key Responsibilities

Handle and broker commercial insurance enquiries including new business, MTAs and renewals.

Prepare high‑quality market submissions and supporting documentation.

Work alongside Account Executives/Directors to help achieve new business and renewal targets.

Secure competitive renewal terms and complete all associated documentation and system updates.

Support Account Executives/Directors with prospect pipeline management and research.

Prepare Renewal Review reports, including claims experience summaries.

Manage incoming client, insurer and third‑party enquiries professionally and efficiently.

Maintain an organised diary system including debt management, accounts queries, chasing documentation and renewal terms.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' commercial insurance broking experience.

Acturis experience is essential.

Confident handling quotations, renewals and MTAs across a range of commercial policies.

Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets, products, wordings and placement options.

Excellent communication, organisation and client‑handling skills.
