Your new company A local council in the Midlands, dedicated to delivering high-quality services to its community, is seeking an experienced and proactive Interim Insurance Manager to join their team and a full-time basis. Your new role This is a key role responsible for managing the council's insurance portfolio and ensuring effective risk mitigation across the organisation. The successful candidate will oversee a range of policies including property, liability, and motor insurance, while managing the full claims process with accuracy and efficiency. You'll conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and liaise with brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to secure the best coverage. Providing expert advice to internal departments and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and council policies will be central to your role. You'll also prepare and present reports on insurance and risk management to senior leadership. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you'll bring proven experience in insurance management-ideally within a public sector or local government setting-along with strong knowledge of claims handling and risk management.
