Interim Deputy Headteacher

This is a hands-on senior leadership role within a complex behavioural environment. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, alongside additional SEND profiles. A visible, confident and relational leadership style is essential.
The Role
- Hands on leadership role
- Oversight of assessment and data
- Daily staffing and operational coordination
- Line management of pastoral and teaching staff
- Behaviour and culture leadership
- Supporting a trauma-informed approach
- Working closely with the Headteacher to maintain stability and standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Deputy Headteacher, Headteacher or senior leader within SEMH, alternative provision or specialist settings
- Strong background in behaviour leadership and safeguarding
- Confident operating in high-challenge environments
- Experience overseeing assessment, data and school improvement
- Able to integrate quickly and provide stability during a transitional period
