Interim Director Director of Membership, Commercial & Marcomms

Part-time (0.6), 12-month interim contract

Salary: £85K-£95K (FTE)

Hybrid: minimum 3-4 times per month to the London office

Reporting to: CEO

Direct Reports: Head of Commercial, Head of Marketing & Comms, Head of Membership Services


Our client, The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), is the professional body and voice for environmental health, working to protect the public, support professionals and influence policy in the UK and beyond. Founded in 1883, CIEH sets standards, delivers training and qualifications, and champions safer, healthier environments.


They are seeking an experienced interim leader to lead their Membership, Commercial and Marketing & Communications functions during a period of transition.


This is a hands-on role focused on:

  • Developing an integrated membership, commercial and marcomms strategy
  • Driving membership and commercial income growth
  • Leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Providing stability and assurance at senior and Board level


You will be a proven senior interim with strong commercial acumen and experience in professional or membership bodies.
