The brief:
Lead day‑to‑day financial management across the Trust and its academies, managing a team of 3 and reporting to the Finance Director Produce high‑quality monthly management accounts, analysis and commentary Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning Manage payroll, VAT returns, statutory reporting and financial compliance Review ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust internal controls Guide and develop Finance Officers, bringing out their best Drive value‑for‑money decisions and support tendering and contract negotiations Contribute to governance, continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives What you'll bring:
Strong accounting knowledge and experience in management accounts, forecasting and financial reporting Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills A calm, detail‑driven, organised approach Confidence working with sensitive financial data and supporting non‑financial stakeholders Experience in education finance - essential This role requires someone onsite 3-4 days a week (North West London) and can be applied for on a day rate of £350 per day or a FTC at £60K.
