Finance Systems Analyst | Manchester / Hybrid Working | Salary to £45k | 12 Month Contract\nPower BI • VBA • SQL • Essential\nIf you enjoy working at the intersection of finance, data and systems, this is a genuinely meaty role. We’re recruiting on behalf of a business undergoing a large-scale transformation of its finance systems. They need a hands-on Finance Systems Analyst/Business Analyst who can dive into the details — rebuilding models, shaping reports, and making the data work.

This is not a fluffy BA role. It’s about doing, not just documenting.\nWhy This Role?\n * High-profile finance transformation project\n * Heavy exposure to Power BI reporting and system-driven insights\n * Real ownership of data, models and outputs\n * Work closely with a senior Finance Systems Project Manager\n * Broad visibility across finance, operations and treasury\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n * Rebuilding and improving finance models, templates and working files\n * Handling large datasets for migration, reconciliation and testing\n * Developing and supporting Power BI dashboards and reporting structures\n * Using SQL to extract and manipulate data from finance systems\n * Applying VBA to automate and enhance Excel-based tools\n * Supporting system testing, process redesign and go-live activity\n * Acting as a key link between finance teams and the project function\nWhat You Must Have\nThis role will only suit candidates with strong technical capability:\n * Advanced Excel (complex models, pivots, transformations)\n * Power BI – hands-on dashboard development\n * SQL – confident extracting and working with data\n * VBA – automation and tool enhancement\n * Experience supporting either finance systems, system changes/upgrades or transformation projects\n * Strong data handling, reconciliation and problem-solving skills\nWho This Suits\n * Someone who enjoys hands-on data and systems work\n * Detail-driven, analytical and naturally curious\n * Comfortable working at a pace in a change environment\n * Happy being the “go-to” person for data and reporting during a project
