Interim Financial Controller - Engineering Location: Knowsley (5 days office-based) Duration: 6 months Day rate / Salary equivalent: Up to £65,000 (FTC equivalent) An established engineering business in Knowsley is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to support the finance function during a key delivery period. The business operates across multiple large-scale, contract-led projects and requires a hands-on finance lead with strong experience in cash flow, WIP and contract performance . This is a fully office-based role (5 days per week) and would suit a commercially minded Financial Controller or senior Finance Manager with experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing or project-based environments. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of cash flow forecasting, monitoring and reporting , with a strong focus on liquidity and contract cash profiles Management and review of Work in Progress (WIP) , including accurate cost-to-complete assessments and margin recognition Oversight of contract financial performance , working closely with project and operational teams Bad debt analysis and credit control oversight , including proactive identification and mitigation of ...
