Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an Interim Financial Reporting Manager on behalf of a leading brand in Leicester. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the financial accounting function for a large, complex organisation for a minimum of 6 months starting in January 2026. This role involves managing a small team and taking ownership of key financial reporting processes, including annual statutory accounts and external audit coordination. You will also oversee fixed asset and occupancy accounting, maintain robust financial controls, and act as a key liaison with external tax advisors. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities

Lead the timely and accurate production of annual financial statements and coordinate the year‑end audit process. Support the calculation of corporation tax returns in collaboration with external advisors. Ensure accurate recording, reporting, and forecasting of capital expenditure, depreciation, rent, rates, and service charges. Maintain and review key balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, tax, fixed assets, and reserves. Act as a subject‑matter expert on financial control and reporting, working closely with Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and other functions. Manage and develop a small team (Finance Manager and Finance Analyst). Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and support wider finance initiatives.

About You

ACA qualified accountant with a background in external audit. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS (particularly IFRS 15 & 16). Experience leading financial accounting in a large, complex business. Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure. Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills at all levels. Must be available to start in January.
