Interim FP&A Manager (Long-Term Assignment) Location: Manchester (On-site / Hybrid – Manchester-based candidates only) Contract Type: Interim / Long-term assignment EK1603 A major private equity–backed organisation with revenues exceeding £500m is seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Manager to support the finance leadership team during a significant period of strategic activity and growth. This role will play a critical part in strengthening financial planning, supporting investment decisions, and providing analytical insight around current and future transactions. This is a high-impact interim position suited to a commercially minded finance professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities

Lead and enhance the financial planning & analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Provide commercial financial insight to senior leadership and private equity stakeholders. Support transaction-related activities, including acquisitions, disposals, and refinancing processes. Work closely with corporate finance advisors and internal stakeholders during Transaction Services (TS) activity. Build and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and investment cases. Deliver detailed variance analysis and performance reporting to executive leadership and investors. Assist with deal evaluation, integration planning, and post-deal performance tracking. Improve reporting processes, KPIs, and analytical capability within the FP&A function.

Candidate Profile

Big 4 qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent). Proven FP&A leadership experience within a large-cap or complex organisation. Direct exposure to Transaction Services (TS) and involvement in M&A or deal processes. Experience working within private equity-backed environments or supporting investors. Strong financial modelling and analytical capability. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership. Must be Manchester-based and able to work closely with the local leadership team.
