Interim Group Financial Controller | PE-Backed Tech / SaaS Business

Location: London (hybrid)

Day Rate: Competitive

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential to extend)

Start: ASAP, 2 weeks notice max


A private equity-backed technology platform is seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller to stabilise and take ownership of core finance operations across a growing, multi-entity business.


Having expanded through acquisition, the business now requires a strong operator to bring consistency, control and reliability to financial reporting and processes.


The Role

This is a hands-on position focused on delivering immediate improvements in reporting quality and operational finance.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning group consolidation and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting
  • Leading and improving the month-end close process across multiple entities
  • Producing board and investor reporting packs to a high standard
  • Identifying and resolving inconsistencies in financial data across acquired businesses
  • Strengthening financial controls, processes and governance
  • Working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team during a period of change
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes


About You

  • ACA (or equivalent) qualified with strong technical grounding
  • Experience operating in multi-entity, group-level environments
  • Background in practice (Big 4 preferred) followed by industry
  • Comfortable stepping into complex or underdeveloped finance functions
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong ownership mentality
  • Able to operate independently and deliver at pace
