Interim Senior Finance Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for a 14 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this will be a pivotal role between finance operational and reporting teams and the wider business, often acting as a first port-of-call and action‑leader. The role will be responsible for the P&L and BS numbers of our trading entities, lead key finance systems and drive improvements in systems and processes centrally. The successful candidate will have broad experience across the finance function, be collaborative, dynamic and solution‑focused. Key Responsibilities
Line management of a management accountant. Lead for accounting adjustments, P&L review of trading entities and relevant BS code review at month end. Work closely with the Head of Financial Control and Reporting to ensure postings are GAAP‑compliant and support them during the year‑end audit process. Management of the Finance System (Dynamics Business Central) and its integration with other systems. Responsible for leading change requests from outside of the Finance Team such as new product additions and other relevant consumer‑facing changes. Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Review and where needed, prepare complex VAT returns in the UK and other indirect tax returns globally. Partner with the Group Financial Controller, FP&A team and business leaders to provide insight, guidance, and analysis for strategic decision‑making. Work closely with the finance operations team to ensure end‑to‑end processes are efficient. Other support as required.
Experience & Attributes
Qualified accountant with 7+ years’ post‑qualification experience. Significant experience in management accounting. Experience processing or managing VAT returns. Experience in international organisations, comfortable with multi‑entity structures and FX complexity. Experience using Dynamics Business Central. Experience administering Finance Systems. Experience administering Dynamics Business Central is a plus. Experience with Business Intelligence is a plus.
