Interior Designer - Project Manager

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:
We’re looking for a well-rounded Full Time Interior Designer / Project Manager who is both creatively inspired and highly organized. You’re someone who brings strong design sensibility, technical skills, and a solutions-focused mindset to every stage of the design process. You’re excited to contribute to a collaborative studio culture where initiative, resourcefulness, and curiosity are celebrated.
The ideal candidate has a passion for residential design and the ability to manage multiple projects with grace and efficiency. You are comfortable owning parts of a project independently, while also working alongside the Principal Designer to deliver polished, client-focused results. You’re confident in communicating with clients, vendors, and tradespeople, and can pivot easily between design development, documentation, and project logistics.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in Residential Interior Design Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD & Chief Architect is essential
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in development and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervision Collaborate in conceptualizing & create design ideas through 2D & 3D visualization Prepare mood boards and materials presentations Develop space plans, project budget, schedule and programming documentation Create and manage time and materials budgets for projects Selections and specifications of finish materials and furniture Prepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions Prepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions Assist Principal Designer during project meetings & client presentations Organize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks and meetings Administer contract documents, bids & negotiations including construction administration Review shop drawings and submittals Mentoring and management of design assistants & interns Knowledge of building codes and building systems

Eager and efficient in mastering new programs Desire and ability to work in an autonomous, creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing on multiple projects simultaneously Resilient to coping with client demands & able to prioritize duties and work effectively Thrives in a collaborative, team-driven environment Values open communication and mutual support within a team Must be able to work independently with little supervision Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills Run design project on time and on budget Strong knowledge of the design process including specification of materials, FF&E, and project management Brings a proactive, can-do attitude and operates with urgency Demonstrates unwavering focus on detail & craftsmanship
EDUCATION AND CONTINUOUS TRAINING
Meet with sales reps from various showrooms Participate in training meetings and in business conferences Join sourcing trips Attend design seminars and participating in professional organizations Take classes, seminars etc., to keep up to date with Interior Design trends and improve Design Skills
COMPENSATION
$50,000 - $70,000
