What They Are Looking For
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their London-based commercial team, supporting major projects delivered within highly regulated environments. The role sits within an established cost management function and reports into senior commercial leadership, working alongside experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and Associate Directors.
The position has been created due to sustained project demand and a growing pipeline of long-term programmes. The successful candidate will support cost control, commercial governance, and reporting across complex projects, gaining exposure to best-in-class commercial processes and structured project environments.
This role will suit an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is keen to deepen their experience on large, complex schemes, values strong mentorship, and is motivated by working in environments where accuracy, compliance, and professionalism are critical.

Responsibilities
Supporting cost management on major projects within regulated environments Assisting with cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting Preparation of CVRs, reports, and client-facing commercial documentation Supporting contract administration and change control processes Assisting with procurement strategy and supply chain commercial management Monitoring project costs, risks, and variations Supporting senior team members with commercial governance and assurance Engaging with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Criteria for the Role
Experience working as an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Exposure to large-scale, infrastructure, or highly regulated projects Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Understanding of cost control, reporting, and contract administration Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Working toward professional accreditation (RICS or equivalent) advantageous Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
