About the role

Humidity Solutions is looking for an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join their growing team. The role is essential in providing technical selection and advice to customers in the HVAC industry. This is primarily an office-based customer facing role focused on responding to inbound enquiries, preparing accurate quotations and developing commercial opportunities. They shall gain an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, how they operate and applications. This role would be ideal for someone who has sales account management expertise.


The role requires strong attention to detail, technical curiosity and structured sales follow-up.

Main responsibilities:

·       Use technical knowledge to assist with product selection for customers and specifiers.

·       Provide pre- and post-sale installation advice.

·       Develop a good understanding of HVAC systems and controls.

·       Travel to sites to advice on equipment selection and consider installation.

·       Provide support to our installation and service teams.

·       Respond promptly to incoming enquiries and prepare accurate, timely quotations.

·       Identify opportunities for equipment sales, planned maintenance and upgrades.

·       Proactively follow up quotations and develop new sales opportunities.

·       Support marketing activity and represent the company at selected trade shows and via LinkedIn.

·       Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation.


Specific responsibilities:

•      Recording enquiries in Hubspot (Lead creation).

•      Preparing and issuing quotations accurately and on time (Hubspot Deal).

•      Following up quotations and responding to technical queries.

•      Liaising with manufacturers for technical support and training.

•      Supporting internal installation and service teams with product selection.

•      Using CRM (Hubspot) and job management systems effectively (Simpro).

•      Attend trade shows where the company is exhibiting.

•      Work towards agreed sales targets.

•      Meet regularly with the Internal Sales Manager to review pipeline and progress.

•      Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships.

•      Ensure all enquiries are responded to promptly and recorded accurately.

•      Identify and escalate commercial opportunities arising from technical enquiries.

•      Ensure advice given is documented appropriately, should the company be challenged on the advice given.


Required knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  •      Sales experience (HVAC advantageous).
  •      Experience within an engineering or technical environment desirable.
  •      An interest in engineering (formal qualification advantageous).
  •     Sales processes from enquiry to invoice.
  •     Excellent attention to detail, particularly in quotation preparation.
  •      A proactive, organised and a commercial mindset.
  •    Time management and organisational skills.
  •     Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  •    A full clean UK driving licence.
  •    Within commutable distance from Leatherhead.


You should have a good working knowledge of:

•      Microsoft Office

•      Hubspot

•      Sage

•      SharePoint and Simpro (advantageous)
