Internal Sales Executive – Foodservice

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £26,000 basic + incentives of up to £6k

Our client is looking for a Sales Executive to join our Foodservice team in Nottingham. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our customer relationships, using virtual channels to understand customer needs, upsell our products and services, and drive sustainable growth — all while delivering outstanding service.

What you’ll be doing

As a Sales Executive, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Taking ownership of customer orders over the phone, using your food knowledge to guide choices and act as a trusted product advisor.

* Identifying opportunities to upsell by reminding customers of products they may have missed and suggesting new ways to add value.

* Analysing customer buying patterns and turning insights into meaningful, value-driven conversations.

* Handling challenging situations professionally, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining strong, positive customer relationships.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity, and a customer-first mindset. Ideally, you’ll have:

* Confidence in communicating and building long-term customer relationships.

* A genuine passion for food (desirable) and a curiosity to learn about products and trends.

* A sales-focused approach, with the ability to spot opportunities and add real value for customers. Experience in upselling products

* Excellent IT skills

* Experience in a call centre is desirable

* Resilience and professionalism, with the ability to handle challenging conversations calmly and effectively
