Job Description
About the Role
The Inside Technical Sales role sits within the Inside Sales Department and is responsible for managing sales, service, and operational support across an assigned geographical area. The position is highly customer-focused, ensuring exceptional service through efficient handling of enquiries, quotations, and orders via phone and email.
You will partner closely with Area Sales Managers to drive sales activity and develop customer relationships across your territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support all business activities within your assigned sales area
- Act as the primary internal contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Handle customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and complaints efficiently
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships through proactive engagement
- Prepare quotations and relevant documentation in response to customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical and commercial queries
- Follow up on quotations and identify new business and value-added opportunities
- Continuously develop knowledge of products, applications, markets, and competitors
- Support sales growth and profitability in line with company objectives
- Contribute to customer visits, exhibitions, and product presentations
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical, Process, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- Experience in sales, business development, or marketing (ideally in process automation or control)
- Strong customer focus with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset with strong organisational skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently when needed
- Strategic thinking and a drive to identify growth opportunities
