International Business Developer – Data Centres
About the Role
As an International Business Developer (IBD) at Hilti, you will play a pivotal role in creating, leading, and executing strategy for a portfolio of global architect and consultant accounts within our European Data Centre business. You’ll focus on driving the adoption of Hilti and Oglaend solutions by developing tailored account strategies, building strong multi level relationships, and coordinating a global virtual team to ensure consistent execution across markets.
A key part of the role is influencing early project specifications, positioning Hilti as the preferred end to end partner for complex data centre construction. This is a high visibility position where you will help shape market direction, embed Hilti concepts at the earliest stages of major projects, and contribute to long term growth in one of the industry’s fastest expanding segments.
Please note: This role can be based in either Manchester or London.
What You'll do
* Lead and deliver account strategies for a portfolio of architect and consultant accounts within the European Data Centre segment.
* Strengthen multi level relationships to increase adoption of Hilti and Oglaend solutions.
* Coordinate with a global virtual team and align with local market stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
* Influence early project specifications by identifying upcoming data centre projects and embedding Hilti concepts from the design stage.
* Build and manage a proactive project pipeline, ensuring clear alignment across all key stakeholders.
* Share market and customer insights with global E&I teams to support ongoing strategy development.
* Act as the main point of accountability for assigned accounts, ensuring effective communication and progress.
* Travel across Europe as needed to support customer engagements and project activity.
What You’ll Bring
* A strong technical foundation, ideally in MEP or Firestopping, with BIM experience considered an advantage.
* Proven experience in data centre design, construction, engineering, or similarly complex technical projects, with a proven ability to deliver engineered solutions in large‑scale environments.
* Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to understand technical challenges and translate them into value‑adding solutions.
* Confident when partnering with senior and C‑suite stakeholders, able to navigate complex discussions with clarity and confidence.
* Strong influencing and collaboration skills, particularly when working across global, cross‑functional teams with different priorities and perspectives.
* A structured, strategic approach to planning and account development, with the ability to manage complex workstreams and maintain alignment across multiple regions.
What’s In It for You
* A competitive base salary and car allowance.
* Different ways to work flexibly, including working from home and compressed hours.
* 33 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) plus paid days off for great moments in life - your birthday, moving home, getting married and moments where you may need more support – fertility treatment, neonatal birth, home emergency day.
* You also have the opportunity to buy additional leave days each year.
* Private healthcare, life insurance and wellbeing support.
* 6% pension contribution.
* Hilti Benefits Box, a reward platform offering a cycle to work scheme and shopping and lifestyle discounts/cashback
