International Business Developer – Europe (Office‑Based, East Lancashire) Drive European growth. Build a channel network. Shape a market from the ground up. A specialist manufacturer of engineered process equipment is looking for a high‑calibre International Business Developer to lead sales growth across key European territories. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a market at an early stage — starting with office‑based prospecting and direct end‑user engagement, then transitioning into a channel‑driven model as agents are appointed across Europe. If you’re commercially sharp, technically credible, and motivated by building something meaningful rather than inheriting a finished structure, this is a standout role. What You’ll Be Doing * Developing deep relationships with end‑users across France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Greece and other strategic markets. * Prospecting intensively to identify new opportunities and convert them into long‑term customers. * Managing and growing a portfolio ranging from SMEs to major industrial accounts. * Working hand‑in‑hand with newly appointed agents across Europe — supporting them in the field and driving joint success. * Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities. * Collaborating closely with UK, German and US colleagues across sales, technical and product development. * Providing technical guidance to customers and partners (with deeper support from application engineers). * Representing the business at international trade shows. * Driving profitable growth using a value‑selling approach. What You Bring * Experience selling engineered solutions or manufactured industrial products into export markets. * A background in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar technical training with commercial exposure. * Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills. * A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset — someone who enjoys opening doors, building markets and shaping strategy. * Technical understanding of equipment used in food & beverage, pharma or chemical processing (or similar industrial environments). * Fluency in English; French, Spanish or Italian would be a strong advantage.
