International Sales Director

Reports to: Managing DirectorContract: Full timeClosing date for applications: 23rd March 2026Role PurposeWe are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Director to lead our ambitious growth plans across the UK, France, Germany, Scandinavia, US and China.This role will be responsible for developing an aligned internationalsales organisation, instilling best-practice in presenting a luxury/heritage brand, sales planning, pricing discipline, selective distribution and account management.The Sales Director will play a critical role, as a member of the executive management team, in strategic planning and operational leadership, driving sustainable, profitable growth while safeguarding Le Chameau’s heritage, craftmanship and luxury brand positioning across all wholesale channels.The Sales Director will share essential customer and market insights back into the business, helping to shape our broader commercial strategy—including product range, market entry approach, and route-to-market decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & StrategyLead and develop our existing wholesale business across the UK, France, Germany andScandinavia, ensuring consistent standards and performance.Create a unified sales organisation with shared best practices in communication, negotiation, forecasting, pricing and processes.Translate overall company strategy into clear regional and market-level sales plans.Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and long-term account value.Champion the effective communication of Le Chameau’s craftmanship, heritage and functional performance through wholesale partners.Act as the voice of the customer internally - sharing insights on product performance, pricing, range, competitor activity and emerging trends.Contribute actively to decisions around product development, assortment planning, and market-specific strategies.Identify opportunities to refine sales approaches by market and channel.Business Development & Market ExpansionEnsure disciplined distribution, premium pricing integrity and consistent brand execution across all wholesale partners.Identify and secure strategically aligned wholesale partners that enhance brand equity and long-term value within existing markets by expanding key accounts.Lead expansion into new markets, evaluating and implementing the most effective route to market (e.g. commission-based agents vs. in-market sales teams).Build scalable frameworks for entering and developing new territories.Account Management & NegotiationSet best-practice standards for account management, contracting, and commercial negotiations.Support and lead high-level negotiations with strategic wholesale partners.Ensure effective forecasting, range sell-in, and sell-through performance across markets.Develop and mentor senior regional leaders to ensure depth of capability and succession planningBuild, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team operating remotely across multiple countries.Coach and develop team members to improve commercial capability, consistency, and performance.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in a senior wholesale sales leadership role within the premium/luxury sector and across multiple European markets, US and Asia-Pacific (incl. China).Strong background in premium/luxury retail and wholesale, ideally within a footwear or lifestyle heritage brand.Demonstrated success in key account management, contracting, and complex commercial negotiations.Experience building and managing remote, multi-market sales teams.Strategic mindset with strong execution capability.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Fluency in French & GermanExperience launching or scaling sales operations in new international markets.Familiarity with different route-to-market models (agents vs. direct sales teams).Experience of working in a fast-growing and ambitious Private Equity backed organisation.Personal AttributesCommercially astute with a hands-on leadership style.Collaborative, adaptable, and culturally aware.Data-informed decision maker with strong market knowledge and intuition.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
