Inventory Planner\n\nInitial 12 month contract - potential to extend\n\nHybrid working - 3 days onsite in Lincoln/ 2 days WFH\n\nHourly rate of £20.50 PAYE\n\nAre you an analytical, proactive Supply Chain professional looking to make a real impact on inventory performance? We're seeking an Inventory Planner to take ownership of service inventory across multiple business areas, ensuring availability, efficiency, and strategic stock control.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nIn this role, you will manage inventory for service operations-including Spares, LTPs, Mods & Ups, Overhauls, and Machining-while driving improvements, reducing obsolescence, and enhancing supply chain effectiveness. You'll collaborate closely with teams across Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Commercial functions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nForecast & Inventory Planning:\nValidate long‑term demand forecasts and translate them into 5‑year inventory objectives.\nMaterial & Change Management:\nManage new and modified part requirements; ensure visibility of material changes and reduction activities.\nSlow-Moving & Obsolete Stock:\nLead proactive strategies to minimise risk exposure and reduce slow‑moving inventory.\nAged WIP Oversight:\nWork cross‑functionally to resolve aged WIP issues and maintain operational flow.\nRepair & Spare Parts Management:\nOversee repair parts inventory, excess stock, and new part introduction.\nObsolescence Management:\nLead initiatives to predict, challenge, and manage potential obsolescence.\nProcess & System Improvements:\nDevelop SAP/database enhancements to streamline reporting and inventory performance.\nReporting & Analytics:\nProduce high‑level inventory reports for senior management, tracking KPIs and improvements.
\n\nSkills & Experience\n\nStrong knowledge of Supply Chain processes and commercial operations.\nTechnical understanding of engineering and service environments.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.\nSolid experience working with advanced Excel essential and SAP (Materials Management, PM modules) beneficial\nExperience in logistics/supply chain roles.\nAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making. \n\nAdecco is a -confident employer.
