The candidate selected will join a global Investment Grade Corporate Credit team, including a seven-person analyst team, in London. The individual will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities for the Investment Grade Corporates team, which manages assets in excess of $80 billion. The Director level candidate will have the responsibility for lead coverage on Developed Market Banks within the Financials sector.**Primary Responsibilities*** Provide analysis of investment grade corporate credits within the Financials (Banks) sector* Financial analysis and modeling* Evaluate companies and the risks related to investing in debt securities across the capital structure* Individual security analysis, including capital structure and indenture analysis, cash flow and liquidity analysis and total return and relative value assessment* Meet with management teams, develop industry contacts, and utilize other information sources to become an expert in assigned coverage* Produce clear and concise research reports based on independent observation and analysis* Produce quarterly industry reviews and communicate recommendations to portfolio management* Collaborate with other Barings’ investment teams optimizing efficiencies and framing relative value within sectors* Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations and initiatives**Qualifications*** Seven or more years of credit analyst experience—either investment grade or high yield/bank debt/privates* CFA and/or MBA preferred* Client presentation experience preferred* Excellent writing and communications skills* Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced, transaction oriented team* Self-starter, must be organized and able to work independently* Ability to prioritize work and multi-task responsibilities* Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines* Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office applications, Bloomberg, etc* Some travel required#LI-JB1**Requisite Skills**Communication, Industry Knowledge, Leadership, Market Knowledge, Risk Appetite**Additional Skills***Barings is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer; Minority/Female/Age/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Individual with Disability/Protected Veteran.
