Irrigation Specialist / Irrigation Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has opened with a well‑established FM service provider operating across London. Magenta is seeking an Irrigation Specialist / Irrigation Engineer to support a portfolio of seven luxury residential developments, primarily around the Canary Wharf area.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives working independently, enjoys problem‑solving, and has a strong track record in maintaining and repairing irrigation systems.

Package & Working Hours

* Salary: £45,000–£50,000

* Travel Allowance: £160 per month

* Hours:

* Monday–Thursday: 07:30–17:00

* Friday: 07:30–16:00

* Holiday: 24 days + bank holidays

* Private healthcare (After 3-month Probation)

Key Responsibilities

* Delivering all irrigation PPM tasks across a multi‑site residential portfolio

* Completing spring start‑ups and winterisation of irrigation systems

* Responding to reactive maintenance requests and carrying out fault‑finding

* Performing field repairs, including urgent summer repairs (e.g., deluge systems)

* Inspecting, testing, and maintaining valves, pipework, controllers, pumps, and related components

* Diagnosing system issues and restoring full functionality efficiently

* Ensuring systems run effectively and meet seasonal requirements

* Producing detailed service reports with clear recommendations

* Working independently as a foot‑mobile engineer across multiple sites in East London

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Irrigation Engineer / Irrigation Specialist

* Strong understanding of irrigation systems, controls, pipework, and associated equipment

* Confident delivering PPM, reactive maintenance, and repairs

* Excellent fault‑finding skills and the ability to work autonomously

* Professional communication skills and a customer‑focused approach

* Full understanding of seasonal irrigation operations (start‑ups and shutdowns)
