Department Overview
The role sits within the Masters Documentation Team and will primarily support the Risk Solutions business with negotiating fund-level hedging documents and long‑form confirmations.
The Masters Team sits within the wider Markets Documentation and Advisory Legal Team and is responsible for the execution of derivatives and financing master agreements and ancillary documentation as well as legal opinions pertaining to netting and collateral.

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic ISDA negotiator or junior lawyer to join the Masters Documentation Team within the Legal department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Risk Solutions Group in the negotiation of ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, guarantees, long‑form confirmations and ancillary documentation with a focus on various types of funds including private equity/debt funds across multiple jurisdictions.
The candidate will have experience of fund structures, a working knowledge of checking capacity and authority of fund entities (including partnerships) in different jurisdictions, and experience of negotiating and understanding typical fund‑related termination triggers.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the front office business team, and the candidate will be comfortable interacting with, and explaining risk to, front office team members and internal stakeholders. The candidate will be used to working to tight deadlines, will thrive in a fast‑paced environment, will have strong organisational skills and will be proactive in enhancing processes.
Key Experience
Excellent knowledge of negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, guarantees, and long‑form confirmations with counterparties;
Familiarity with negotiating master agreements in the context of fund structures (including with private debt/equity funds, limited partnerships and other types of fund entities);
Collaborating closely with business teams;
Providing guidance on capacity, authority and netting issues in derivatives transactions and additional language required in market‑standard master agreements; and
Supporting the team in managing and prioritising multiple negotiations, whilst ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
