Janitor / Caretaker / Handyperson The Orchards, Northallerton (and other Northallerton sites) Contract: Permanent Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week) Closing Date: Sunday 10th August 2025 We have an opportunity available for a full time Janitor / Handyperson to join our team to provide efficient and effective janitorial support including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained. The role You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the premises and its contents, opening and opening and closing premises (gates, doors, windows) or the purpose of residents use, room lettings, maintenance and emergency services. Youll conduct health and safety throughout, making sure emergency exits are kept clear and alarms tests are carried out, reporting any issues and documenting all inspections. As part of your responsibilities, you will monitor systems and functions, including regular checks of heating systems, water temperatures and replace lamps / bulbs and domestic fuses.
