Robert Half is recruiting a Stock Accountant for our client in Hertfordshire, on a temp to perm basis. The position will be varied and will focus on the following key responsibilities. Finance & Accounting Support: Assist with inventory valuation for monthly accounts. Post stock adjustments and other accounting journals as required, under the guidance of the finance manager, to ensure accurate financial reporting. Reconcile stock balances in the general ledger with physical and system records. Process purchase invoices and manage accounts payable to ensure timely payments. Maintain the cash book, recording all cash and bank transactions, and perform bank reconciliations. Help prepare audit trails and documentation for inventory during audits or internal reviews. Inventory & Stock Control: Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or stock management system. Liaise regularly with the outsourced warehouse provider, overseas head office, and suppliers to monitor stock movements and resolve discrepancies. Track imported goods in transit from the overseas head office and ensure accurate recording upon receipt.
