RED GLOBAL | Freelance Java Developer – Regulatory Reporting ☁️ – Belfast (Hybrid)
We are currently looking for a Freelance Java Developer to join one of our clients in the Capital Markets / Financial Services space, working on a new regulatory reporting platform.
Key responsibilities:
✔️ Design and build scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
✔️ Develop cloud-native microservices architecture
✔️ Work on transaction reporting and financial data flows
✔️ Translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
✔️ Collaborate with BAs, QA, and compliance stakeholders
✔️ Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
⭐ Key highlights:
✔️ Greenfield project – no legacy system
✔️ Cloud-native architecture (Java, Spring Boot, AWS, CI/CD)
✔️ Exposure to regulatory reporting frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR)
✔️ Highly collaborative Agile environment
Profile required:
✔️ 5+ years of experience in Java development
✔️ Strong expertise in Spring Boot & microservices
✔️ Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
✔️ Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
✔️ Experience in Banking / Capital Markets / Financial Services is a strong plus
✔️ Good communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
Location: Belfast (3 days onsite per week)
️ Language: English required
Start date: ASAP
⏳ Duration: Long-term mission
Workload: Full-time freelance
