Jira Implementation & Configuration Specialist (SC Cleared)

Location: Farnborough

Contract Length: 6 Month Contract

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Jira Implementation & Configuration Specialist for a 6-month contract to support the configuration, optimisation, and ongoing improvement of a Jira environment. This role will focus on ensuring Jira is aligned with business processes, delivery workflows, and reporting requirements.

You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders onsite in Farnborough (with some flexibility) to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable Jira configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and optimise Jira Software and/or Jira Service Management
• Design and implement workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permissions, and custom fields
• Configure dashboards, reports, SLAs, and automation rules
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into Jira solutions
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend improvements
• Support Jira best practices, governance, and documentation
• Assist with user adoption, guidance, and light training where needed
• Integrate Jira with related tools (e.g. Confluence, development or ITSM tools)

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Jira Administrator or Jira Implementation xbpsjku Specialist
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira configuration (end-to-end)
• Experience delivering Jira implementations or major reconfigurations
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum / Kanban)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a contract engagement
