Job Title: Job Analyst (Human Resources)

Location: Crewe (Hybrid Working Available)

Contract: Temporary (April 2026 – December 2026)

Hours: Up to 37 hours per week (flexible depending on demand)

Pay Rate: £16.35 PAYE or £20.93 Umbrella per hour

Seven Resourcing are recruiting for a skilled Job Analyst to support a busy Human Resources function within a local authority setting in Cheshire East. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale organisational transformation programme, ensuring fair and consistent job evaluation processes are delivered during a period of significant change.

This hybrid position offers flexibility while allowing you to contribute directly to impactful restructuring and workforce planning initiatives.

The Role

You will provide specialist support in delivering high-quality job analysis and job evaluation activity in line with the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme, helping services redesign structures, create new roles, and revise existing positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured job analysis interviews with jobholders, managers, and trade union representatives
• Analyse job roles and produce accurate and comprehensive Job Description Questionnaires (JDQs)
• Ensure consistency and compliance with NJC job evaluation and equal pay requirements
• Provide expert guidance on job evaluation processes to managers and stakeholders
• Support job evaluation panels and appeals where required
• Manage a high volume of job evaluation work linked to ongoing restructuring programmes

Requirements

• Proven experience in job analysis and job evaluation, ideally within a local government or public sector environment
• Strong working knowledge of the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme and equal pay legislation
• Experience conducting detailed job analysis interviews and producing JDQs
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
