Job Purpose
The Joinery Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all workshop operations related to the manufacture of bespoke joinery products. This role ensures that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, materials and resources are effectively managed, and the team operates safely and efficiently. The Production Manager acts as the key liaison between design, estimating, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Plan, organize, and oversee all joinery production activities to meet delivery deadlines and project requirements. Develop and implement production schedules based on the project pipeline, ensuring efficient use of labor and materials. Monitor workflow, productivity, and output quality to maintain standards and identify areas for process improvement. Lead daily production meetings to review progress, address challenges, and allocate resources. 2. Team Leadership and Development
Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of joiners, machinists, finishers, and apprentices. Manage recruitment, training, and development of workshop staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure high standards of craftsmanship and discipline. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, team collaboration, and safe working practices. 3.
