Junior Associate - London


Our London disputes team is the largest offshore practice in London. Drawing on the strength of our global team across multiple international jurisdictions, we have a winning track record and prioritise offering a seamless cross-border client service.


We advise on the most significant offshore disputes, which invariably span multiple jurisdictions, winning keynote victories for our clients and often helping shape the law. We also advise on the largest and most complex cross-border restructurings and insolvencies of recent times. The demanding nature of our work and our clients means our team have to be able to offer pragmatic but often creative solutions to complex problems.


About the role

We are growing our London Disputes team and seek to add a Junior Associate.

As a Junior Associate, you will have room to grow, learning from senior team members. You will work on a range of litigation and insolvency matters, including fraud, asset recovery, shareholder and corporate disputes, and contentious trust matters. Cases often entail applications for urgent interim relief, including injunctions and receivership orders, requiring the ability to react quickly to fast-moving developments.


You will provide tailored legal advice and action accordingly through your ability to:

  • digest large amounts of detailed information quickly
  • draft concise documents in plain language
  • research efficiently
  • produce first-class legal analysis on complex areas of law and fact patterns
  • effectively take notes and recording of clear instructions
  • provide concise letters and reports for clients, written in plain language
  • advise clients, helping them decide the best course of action
  • write and speak persuasively
  • manage competing deadlines
  • Business generation:

    • Contribute to appropriate business development activities of the team and the firm
    • Wherever the opportunity arises, promote the services of teams from across the firm to the client for whom you are acting
    • Actively participate in thought leadership
    • Identify and attend appropriate networking opportunities
