A reputable organisation is seeking a permanent Junior Buyer to join their team in Southampton. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with two days working from home each week, and a salary of up to £33,000.\n\nThis opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about procurement or supply chain management, eager to develop their career and expand their skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.\n\nRole responsibilities of the Junior Buyer include:\n\nManage existing supplier accounts within the specific categories\nNegotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers\nAnalyse market trends and perform cost analyses to identify savings\nSupport sourcing of new suppliers and products\nAssist with purchase orders, stock monitoring, and stock control\nProvide administrative support to the Buying Team and maintain supplier relationshipsPerson Specification of the Buyer:\n\nA good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word\nStrong organisational and administrative skills\nExcellent attention to detail\nGood communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment\nPrevious experience in a buying or procurement is beneficial but not essential \n\nSalary \n\nUp to £33k\n\nThis position offers hybrid working of up to 2 days from home post probation\n\nThis role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a buyer, sourcing specialist, junior buyer, lead buyer, procurement graduate, buying administrator, buying admin, buying specialist, purchasing assistant, procurement assistant, buying coordinator, procurement associate, buying intern, procurement clerk or trainee buyer
