Job Description

Bonmarché is looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Head Office team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking women’s fashion retailer with excellent career prospects.


Role Purpose

Support the Buying Director and Buyer in sourcing, negotiating and purchasing products that align with the company’s vision and deliver agreed KPI targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop a profitable, commercial range.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best price and quality standards.
  • Manage the critical path and meet buying calendar deadlines.
  • Monitor sales performance and take action to maximise profit and reduce markdown.
  • Review competitor activity and maintain clear price architecture.
  • Work closely with Merchandising, Technical, Marketing and Retail teams.
  • Present ranges in selection and sign-off meetings.


About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience at Assistant Buyer level.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • Experience building profitable ranges.
  • Confident communicator and team player.
  • Experience working with suppliers (FOB and landed).
