We’re looking for a Junior HR Business Partner to join a fast-paced manufacturing business in Wakefield. Reporting directly into the Head of HR, this is a hands-on, generalist role where you’ll work closely with managers to support day-to-day people matters and help drive engagement across the site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor ready to step into a more strategic, business-partnering role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for managers on employee relations matters, including absence, performance, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Coach and guide line managers to build confidence and capability in managing their teams
  • Support engagement initiatives and help embed a positive, high-performance culture
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Support HR projects and initiatives in line with the wider people strategy
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly
  • Build strong relationships across the site, working closely with operational teams


Skills/experience:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role (HR Advisor / Junior HRBP level)
  • Comfortable supporting employee relations cases end-to-end
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge managers constructively
  • Experience working in manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment (desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly with HR systems and data
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards (preferred but not essential)

This is a permanent role based in Wakefield, offering up to £40,000 per annum.
