Are you a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer or an aspiring Design Engineer looking for a role that offers long-term stability, structured training, and clear career progression within a well-established engineering business? You'll be working as a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, supporting the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through to detailed design. This role offers a balanced mix of office-based design work and collaborative project involvement, working closely with senior engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers.

\n Your Role As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer Will Include: \n

* Assisting in the creation of design concepts, layouts, and engineering solutions

\n

* Producing and updating 3D models and detailed drawings to industry standards

\n

* Supporting the preparation of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation

\n

* Assisting with engineering calculations to verify and validate designs

\n

* Participating in internal and external design reviews

\n

* Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to support efficient and cost-effective design solutions

\n

* Supporting senior engineers throughout the full design lifecycle

\n

* Working within company procedures and quality standards

\n As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer You Will Have: \n

* A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

\n

* A good understanding of mechanical engineering design principles

\n

* An interest in developing skills across design, analysis, and manufacturing processes

\n

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

\n

* Good organisational skills and attention to detail

\n

* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office

\n

* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
