We are supporting a Real Estate Investment Manager with operations throughout the UK, Asia-Pacific and Europe who are looking to recruit a Junior Property Accountant to join the Finance team based in London.

This is a brilliant opportunity for somebody who’s worked in a property accounts role (either treasury, client accounting, service charge accounts, etc.), and looking to move to the Fund side of Real Estate – this is a great opportunity to work in a very dynamic, fast paced environment with the opportunity to study for a formal accountancy qualification in the future if you wish too.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with liquidity management and monthly allocation of bank account balances.
• Process all income and payments within the set regulatory and internal deadlines.
• Help set up and document processes, controls and procedures for all outsourced accounting providers.
• Assisting the Fund Controller, you will be involved in the provision of bank covenant reporting, reviewing the management accounts (and all other property specific data provided by 3rd party service providers) to ensure accuracy and all processes are efficient and kept updated.

Key Person Specification:

• This role requires 2-3 yrs experience working in an accounts role, ideally within either a UK or European Real Estate Fund/Property Management environment.
• Actively studying (or with the intention to study) for a formal accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• This role requires someone with intermediate Excel skills for data manipulation / management projects, experience using Yardi would be highly advantageous.
• This is a newly created role working in a small but highly efficient team, so you will need to have a very pro-active attitude towards your work and be comfortable working independently at times.
