Junior Solar PV Designer

As part of our clients continued expansion, they are seeking a Junior Solar PV Designer to join our established project delivery team.
The Opportunity This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or post-graduate with a strong interest in renewable energy and solar PV design.
You will join an experienced and supportive team, receiving structured training, hands-on project exposure, and ongoing mentoring. As your skills and confidence grow, so too will your level of responsibility with a clear pathway toward progression as a Solar PV Designer.
Key Responsibilities Support the design of commercial solar PV systems using PV*SOL and SolarEdge Designer

Analyse half-hourly energy consumption data, utility bills, and load profiles to inform system sizing and performance modelling

Assist with panel layouts, generation forecasts, and detailed design documentation

Contribute to technical proposals and project handover documentation

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, designers, and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable

Attend site visits as required to support project delivery

What Were Looking For Essential Strong analytical and numerical ability with excellent attention to detail

Genuine interest in renewable energy and solar PV technologies

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Desirable Experience with PV*SOL, SolarEdge Designer, or similar software

Placement, internship, or project experience within renewable energy or electrical sectors

Understanding of commercial energy consumption and utility billing

Relevant degree or post-graduate qualification (e.g. Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar)
