Duties Assist in planning and preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area. Support the training and development of junior team members, fostering a positive team environment. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management. Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency. Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence within the team. Experience Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards. Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing teams in high-pressure situations. Solid background in food production, restaurant operations, and serving customers. Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is desirable. Previous experience in hospitality or catering establishments is highly advantageous.
