What you will do:
Working with the Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing the team, assisting with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stock rotation
Supervised the kitchen brigade on a daily basis
Provides guidance to junior Chefs, including, but not limited, to cooking, food preparation, and plating dishes
Ensures quality and consistency by following designated recipe
Participate in training and maximize the opportunities for the ongoing development of junior chefs to prepare them for more responsibility.
Who you are:
Excellent motivator and someone who clearly leads by example
Has a drive to succeed & clear passion for food
A successful candidate will enjoy taking responsibility and delivering results
You must be proactive and possess excellent communication skills
Previous experience of working in a hotel environment is ideal
Able to work a variety of different shifts, which will include weekends, early starts and late finishes
