Role Overview:
We’re currently recruiting for a Plumbing Tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging vocational training within HMP The Mount. This is a rewarding opportunity to support prison-based learners, helping them gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to progress into meaningful employment upon release.
Working closely with the onsite education team and curriculum leads, you’ll deliver accredited qualifications aligned to the current scheme of work and ensure that all learners are supported to reach their potential. You’ll use varied teaching strategies and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment tailored to individual needs and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver plumbing qualifications to small groups of learners in a secure setting
* Follow structured schemes of learning and contribute to curriculum development
* Monitor and review learner progress through tutorials and action planning
* Provide advice, guidance, and support to learners to help them achieve
* Ensure compliance with awarding body standards, internal quality assurance, and prison policies
