Key Account Manager - Secondary Care

New Today

Job Description

Planet Pharma is seeking an experienced and driven Key Account Manager to manage and grow a defined Secondary Care territory across South East London, with a strong focus on Allergy. This is a strategic KAM role requiring strong account planning capability, stakeholder engagement skills, and the confidence to operate across complex NHS systems.

The successful candidate will bring energy, credibility and resilience, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and effectively represent a specialist portfolio, including immunotherapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for key Secondary Care customers across South East London
  • Drive the uptake and appropriate use of a specialist Allergy product portfolio, including a new Immunotherapy product
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders including Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Pharmacists, and relevant decision-makers
  • Navigate and influence ICS and local Market Access environments, working cross-functionally to support formulary access and pathway adoption
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Secondary Care pathways, guidelines, and service pressures
  • Deliver high-quality, confident and engaging interactions both face-to-face and on the phone
  • Monitor performance, identify opportunities, and adapt account strategies accordingly
  • Maintain the highest standards of ABPI compliance

Therapy Area & Experience Requirements

  • Strong background in Allergy, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) and/or Respiratory
  • Experience with Immunotherapy is highly desirable
  • Open to varied backgrounds, however candidates must demonstrate true Key Account Management experience, not purely representative-level selling
  • Experience within Secondary Care is essential
  • Exposure to ICS working and Market Access activities is important – deep expertise is not required, but strong awareness and confidence engaging in this space is expected

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is not only commercially capable, but who brings the right energy and presence to the role.

You will demonstrate:

  • A dynamic, engaging communication style, particularly on the phone
  • High levels of motivation, resilience and drive
  • Confidence engaging senior clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • A professional, credible, and personable approach that builds trust quickly
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong execution skills
  • The ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams

Qualifications

  • ABPI qualified (essential)
  • Proven experience working within the pharmaceutical industry.
