Aspire People are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Telford for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and adaptable TA who is confident supporting pupils across Years 1 and 2 and can provide cover across multiple classes when needed.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support teaching and learning across all KS1 classes (Reception/Year 1/Year 2 where required)

Be willing to cover different classes as needed

Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to support pupils' learning

Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN

Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and organisation

Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning

Work closely with teachers and senior leadership

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with younger primary pupils and thrives in a flexible, supportive environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has recent experience working within Key Stage 1

Is confident supporting across multiple KS1 year groups

Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills

Is proactive, reliable, and adaptable

Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Qualifications are desirable but not essential.
We will consider candidates without formal qualifications if they have relevant and recent experience within KS1.
