The Opportunity
Our client, a boutique hotel in the Cromarty area, is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their busy kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation support. As the location is rural, a driving licence and own vehicle is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting chefs with basic food preparation
* Washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
* Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times
* Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
* Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are followed
* Storing deliveries correctly and managing stock rotation
Requirements
Essential
* Driving license and access to own vehicle essential due to location
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* Good time management skills
* Awareness of food hygiene standards (Level 1 or 2 preferred but not essential)
* Previous kitchen porter experience is required
What’s on Offer
* £12.75 per hour plus tips (salary works out to approx. £16 per hour)
* Full Time, Permanent contract
* Shift pattern consisting of either 08:00-16:00 or 14:00-22:00 (rota based)
