About the Role

We're currently recruiting reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porters to join busy kitchens across the Edinburgh area. You'll play a key role in supporting chefs and front-of-house teams to keep operations running smoothly in restaurants, hotels, catering venues and staff canteens.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery efficiently and safely.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are always met.
Handle waste disposal and recycling in line with site procedures.
Support infection control and safe food-handling practices in care home and healthcare settings.Requirements

Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, or Cleaner in hospitality or care environments is desirable but not essential.
A current PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate is highly advantageous, or willingness to apply for one - having a PVG makes you eligible for care home placements and demonstrates your suitability for working with vulnerable adults.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Proof of right to work in the UK.What We Offer
