About the Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Aylesbury from Easter 2026. This is a full-time temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful initial placement period.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils in the early stages of their primary education, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development. You will play a key role in nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, meeting the needs of all learners.
Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports pupils’ academic and personal development.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, using formative and summative assessment to inform planning and interventions.
Support the development of early reading, writing, and mathematical skills through structured and engaging approaches.
Promote positive behaviour and establish clear routines that encourage independence and resilience.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
Participate fully in staff meetings, school initiatives, and ongoing CPD opportunities.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early assessment frameworks.
Passionate about fostering a love of learning in young children.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A reflective and proactive practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
