KS1 Teacher

New Today

Ready for a KS1 class that’s settled, supported, and excited to learn?
We’re working with a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Shropshire looking for a full-time Key Stage 1 teacher to join their team this September. This is a school where relationships come first, routines are strong, and staff genuinely look out for one another.
The classroom is ready. The planning support is there. All that’s missing is you.
What you’ll be walking into
• A well-behaved KS1 class who love hands-on learning • Supportive SLT who are visible, approachable, and realistic • Shared planning across the year group • Teaching assistants who know their pupils inside out • A school that values creativity alongside solid progress
This isn’t a sink-or-swim environment. It’s a roll-up-your-sleeves, let’s-do-this-together kind of place.
The role
You’ll take full responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging lessons that build strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing, and maths. The school is big on nurturing confidence, independence, and a love of learning from day one.
Whether you’re an experienced teacher who knows KS1 like the back of your hand, or an ECT looking for a supportive start, this team will make sure you feel part of it quickly.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Holds UK QTS • Has strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum • Creates calm, purposeful classrooms • Builds positive relationships with pupils and parents • Brings energy, warmth, and high expectations
Why work with Protocol Education?
• Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies • FREE access to our CPD Academy • A dedicated consultant who actually listens • Opportunities in mainstream and SEND settings • Streamlined registration and local placements • Referral scheme rewards
If you’re looking for a KS1 role where you can focus on teaching, not firefighting, this could be a lovely next step.
