The Role

We are currently recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Junior School in Derby. This is a long-term opportunity, with a view to start after the Easter break, offering consistency and the chance to become a valued part of the school community.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support where needed.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support learning
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Assisting with the preparation of learning resources
Providing pastoral support to help pupils develop both academically and sociallyAbout You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children in a primary school setting
Has a passion for supporting KS2 learners
Is reliable, proactive, and adaptable
Builds strong relationships with staff and pupils
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) - desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer
