Your new role As a General Teaching Assistant, you'll be able to support a KS2 classroom working alongside the teacher to help manage daily routines and learning activities. You may assist small groups of children with tasks or provide general classroom support as well as be able to modify behaviour by creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Also, if needed, be able to handle a 1:1 learning environment. This is a flexible and rewarding role where your contribution makes a real difference every day. What you'll need to succeed To thrive in this role, you'll need to have experience in childcare or teaching, with a proactive and supportive attitude. You should be confident working with children with different abilities, helping with group tasks and classroom routines. Strong communication, patience, and the ability to follow the teacher's directions are key. A genuine passion for education and a flexible approach will help you make a positive impact every day.
