Your new role We are seeking a committed and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Key Stage 3 student in a supportive secondary school setting in St Helens. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support and help a young learner thrive both academically and emotionally.Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a KS3 student with identified SEN needs, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning. Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement and adapt individual education plans. Support the student in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills. Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents/carers. Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. What you'll need to succeed Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in a secondary school setting. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learning and behaviour. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for inclusive education.
